03. Mode of Selection / चयन प्रक्रिया

1. Merit Based Selection: Selection will be based on a merit list prepared from all eligible applicants.
   मेरिट सूची मैट्रिकुलेशन एवं ITI में प्राप्त अंकों के आधार पर तैयार की जाएगी।
2. Candidates must have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Matriculation.
3. The panel will be prepared on the basis of the simple average of Matriculation percentage and ITI percentage.
4. For Matriculation percentage, marks obtained in all subjects will be considered and not merely marks of any particular subject or group.
5. For ITI percentage, marks mentioned in the provisional/final certificate will be considered.
6. In case two candidates obtain equal marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered first.
7. A final merit list will be prepared trade-wise and community-wise, equal to the number of available slots, in descending order of merit.
8. Final selection will be subject to verification of original testimonials and being found medically fit.

06. Eligibility Conditions / पात्रता शर्तें

• Candidate should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 05.09.2026.
• Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
• Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC candidates.
• Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for Persons with Disability (PWD).
• Additional age relaxation is applicable to Ex-Servicemen as per the conditions specified in the official notification.
• SC/ST candidates claiming reservation must produce a valid caste certificate issued by the appropriate authority during Document Verification.
• OBC candidates claiming reservation must produce the required caste certificate along with a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate.
• Ex-Servicemen/Armed Forces Personnel candidates must produce the prescribed discharge/serving certificates during Document Verification.

08. Minimum Educational Qualification

• Candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent under the 10+2 examination system.
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks are required.
• The qualification must be from a recognized Board.
• Candidate must also possess a valid National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the notified trade, issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

09. Payment of Fees / आवेदन शुल्क

• Application fee is non-refundable.
• Fee must be paid through the online payment gateway integrated with the application process.
• RCF/Kapurthala will not accept fee through cash, cheque, money order, IPO, demand draft or any other offline mode.
• The candidate whose form is successfully completed will have to pay the fee after two working days through the link provided in the application.
• After payment, no change/edit will be allowed in the application.
• Payment may be made using debit card, credit card, internet banking, SBI Challan, etc., as available through the payment gateway.
• Transaction charges, if applicable, shall be borne by the candidate.
• On successful payment, an e-receipt will be generated. Candidates should retain a printed copy of the receipt.
• No fee is required from SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates.

14. Training Period & Stipend

• Training period and stipend will be as per extant rules and directives issued by Railway Board from time to time.
• No hostel accommodation will be provided.
• Selected candidates will have to make their own arrangements for accommodation during training.
• Candidates will be released on completion of training as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.

15. Agreement of Training

Before commencement of Apprenticeship training in the designated trade, the selected candidate, or the guardian in case of a minor candidate, must enter into a Contract of Apprenticeship.

16. Medical Fitness / चिकित्सा योग्यता

Candidates called for Document Verification are advised to bring the prescribed medical fitness certificate as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time.

18. Important Instructions / महत्वपूर्ण निर्देश

1. Eligibility, acceptance/rejection of applications and mode of selection के संबंध में Railway Administration का निर्णय अंतिम होगा।
2. Railway में Apprenticeship training करने से Railway में स्थायी नियुक्ति या absorption का कोई अधिकार प्राप्त नहीं होगा।
3. Apprenticeship पूर्ण होने के बाद employer के लिए apprentice को employment देना अनिवार्य नहीं है और apprentice के लिए employment स्वीकार करना भी अनिवार्य नहीं है।
4. Engagement के संबंध में कोई व्यक्तिगत correspondence स्वीकार नहीं किया जाएगा।
5. किसी भी प्रकार की canvassing करने पर candidature disqualify कर दी जाएगी।
6. यदि 10th class marks CGPA में दिए गए हैं, तो आवेदन में उसका निर्धारित percentage दर्ज करना होगा।
7. RCF/Kapurthala के employees के wards को छोड़कर Employment Exchange में enrolment आवश्यक है।
8. Candidates को आवेदन करने से पहले यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए कि वे सभी eligibility conditions पूरी करते हैं।
9. Original testimonials प्रस्तुत न करने या किसी discrepancy पाए जाने पर candidature cancelled की जा सकती है।
10. गलत, फर्जी या false certificates पाए जाने पर Railway Administration चयन/प्रशिक्षण के किसी भी चरण में candidature समाप्त कर सकता है।
11. Non-selected candidates को व्यक्तिगत रूप से reply भेजने की जिम्मेदारी Railway Administration की नहीं होगी।
12. Railway Administration किसी printing error के लिए जिम्मेदार नहीं होगा।
13. Result application closing date से लगभग 45 दिनों के भीतर घोषित किए जाने की प्रक्रिया notification में दी गई है।
14. Document verification/scrutiny result declaration के एक माह के भीतर पूरा किया जाना है।
15. Document Verification के लिए बुलाए गए candidates को prescribed medical fitness certificate साथ लाना होगा।
16. Document Verification के लिए कोई Daily Allowance, Conveyance Allowance या Travelling Allowance नहीं दिया जाएगा।
17. एक बार जमा किया गया application fee किसी भी परिस्थिति में refund नहीं किया जाएगा और न ही किसी अन्य examination/selection के लिए adjust किया जाएगा।

Reservation / आरक्षण संबंधी महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी

यदि SC/ST के लिए निर्धारित candidates उपलब्ध नहीं होते हैं, तो notification में निर्धारित प्रक्रिया के अनुसार reserved seats को संबंधित reserved categories अथवा अन्य eligible candidates से भरा जा सकता है। इसी प्रकार OBC की रिक्त सीटें निर्धारित नियमों के अनुसार Unreserved category से भरी जा सकती हैं।
